A 2 Month stay

In October 2021 we moved for 2 months to Montreal. After sitting in an apartment in Toronto (paying Toronto rent) and doing nothing during the pandemic for over a year (and finally, with two vaccines in our arms), we changed our location.

I hoped to be able to speak some Frenchº with people. It was more difficult than I thought. Still we had a great time. We walked a lot, exploring parks and restaurants and cafes. The city was more open that Toronto at the time (pandemic-wise) and it was such a breath of fresh air to be able to sit in a cafe and work or draw.

An incredible statue on the way up the mountain.

This was the view from our apartment. We stayed across from a bakery called Guillaume which had some wicked baked goods & a potato and cheese bread that was our favourite.

Jean Talon market was very beautiful. We were lucky to catch it before it had to become an indoor market.

The botanical gardens.

My good friend Hanzo the dog. We often saw him hanging around outside, but we would sometimes see him, the local celebrity, around town.
